The Passionate Christian Abstract
A digital oil abstract painting with the same background painting as "The Passion of Christ" without the large fine central cross. The red areas symbolize the blood Jesus shed on the cross as the "ultimate sacrifice" for our sins. No longer would it be necessary for the Jews and the now Christians to offer crop and animal sacrifices to God to atone for their sins. Jesus as the perfect human and son of Father God would play out that role. The orange symbolizes the brutal beating and physical torture of Jesus before his crucifixion. The yellow symbolizes the psychological pain and torture Jesus endured during this entire event. This psychological stress on Jesus was so great that when He was praying to Father God in the garden of Gethsemane just prior to His arrest He was sweating blood from His hands!! I have never heard of any medical case when a human sweat blood. The grey and black symbolizes the slow, excruciating death of Jesus on the cross. The many numerous smaller crosses symbolize the price many have paid to follow Jesus closely, including those who have died for their conviction to follow Jesus. Exceptionally attractive as a canvas art print.
